is this best of sachin
by sreekanth on Jan 03, 2004 03:02 PM

I think the inning he played today can be rated as one of the the best innings of sachin tendulkar, if not the best. Playing under enarmous pressure on aussie soil speaks itself of his calibre. But beware australia you have to see many of this kind in near future as india takes over australlia's place in the bid for the best test side.

Indian's the name seems to be a vast meaning itself we are still to achieve a lot in every field of cricket winning a game is good part of a team but winning the Heart of every Indian's who are watching you is excellent. The Team is said to be champion whose all players contribute for the win not alone dependent which is the major prob for indian team we are more powerfull then other team is that not correct yes we can flow the continuation of chasing by Self dedication of all team members towards the country if we feel we can and if we can we will achieve. Just do it the result will come forward thats what the winner says and what our team should follow these principles to be the world Top side Amongst all .

Santosh Sahoo.

Fickle team India!

Sure Sachin has three more chances in the series to prove that he is one of the most overrated batsman of the world. Probabaly he will get 3 more golden ducks, because he has lost all confidence in scoring any runs, or even spend time at the crease. As for Vishy's observation that India can win the series based on the first day's play at Melbourne, he is forgetting team India's nature of flattering only to deceive. Afterall it is Australia who will win the series and not India. This is because India already celebrated after winning in Adelaide. The same thing happened in West Indies after India won the Port of Spain test two years back. Even at that time India celebrated and then lost the series by losing the next two tests.

whats this obsession about sachin
by ujsesh on Dec 27, 2003 09:50 AM

why is rediff or everyone obsessed about Sachin? Isn't there anything else to talk about. Every other guy's passing mention about Sachin becomes the headlines on rediff. He is just another batsman who was in form at one time and but not now. There is not need to compare him with Bradman, Richards et al for he hasn't given us matchwinning performances to that extent even in his haydays. He lacks the tempermant for a big innings to carry on till the end - he fires and leaves well before the job is done but his efforts are always hyped up. The worldcup match against Pak was won by Dravid, Kaif and Yuvraj as much as Sachin mind you. He left the field with more than 150runs to go.
So rediff, let this guy alone. No need to cover every other remark about him on the headlines like "Sachin is sure to fire", "Sachin still has 3more innings", "Sachin this ...", "Sachin that ..."

good bye
