One stat I would like to know is - how many times has a side made above 750 runs for their match total and lost in a 5 day test?
India had done realy well with australia. especially the partnership between one of the best test players- RAHUL DRAVID & V.V.S.LAXMAN. They blastered almost all the the balls and proved the Indians. I am seeing several wonderful statistics being reported on rediff about this fantastic match, but not a mention about the total runs that are made in the match. Does it have any significance in the test cricket history or not? I am sure more than 1500 runs are scored in that test. Any stats on that.
