DRAVID

Why is Dravid declaring the innings these days when players are reaching their records. First test he stopped kaif at 46 and second test he stopped kaif at 148. Is he afraid. And about the team selection, he said Ganguly is not playing well so he is out....and why did he take VRV sing into the team for the first test. I dont think he is a good captain for India. Please dont take it to heart. I am not against Dravid, but I want India to win the WC. We still have 1 year for the WC and I dont think this is the time to experiment. We have to go with the best team.

Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid is a team man to the core !
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on Dec 21, 2003 04:15 PM

Team India led by the versatile Saurav Ganguly has a galaxy of shining stars all contributing their mite to the success of the team. In recent times when it came to batting, we witnessed massive contributions from Dravid, Laxman, Saurav, Sachin and Sehwag. The bowling too has made its impact felt through deadly spells from Kumble, Zaheer and Agarkar. The team is gradually climbing the ladder of success step by step. Every new inning throws up a fresh pair of bowlers and batsmen serving the special cause of Team India in a very unique way. The BCCI deserves a pat on its back for providing Team India with a very positive and result- oriented think tank led by the modest, efficient and down to earth coach Shri John Wright and well assisted by bowling coach Shri Bruce Reid, physiotherapist Shri Andrew Leipus, psychologist Shri Sandy Gordon and manager Shri Shivlal Yadav who used to be a match winner for India with his deadly off spin in earlier years. Team India has presented a perfect Christmas cake to lovers of cricket across the globe! Our sincere thanks to Saurav, Rahul, Laxman, Anil, Ajit, Sachin, Viru, Akash, Patel, Ashish, Irfan, Zaheer, Ramesh, Balaji, Deep, Bhajji and Murali.

Well done Rahul

It is rightly said that " Patience" and " Perseverance" are the traits which determine the stature and maturity of an individual. And Dravid has clearly demonstrated to the world , the concrete mettle he is made up of. It has taken years of toil, sweat and concentration for Rahul to let him prove his ability. "The wall" has ripped apart the pride of the Australian team and tamed the lion in his own den. Rahul's genius stands unparalled because he is one of the few players who understand their limitations and play to the utmost of their abilities. There are few players who can utilise their limited abilities to the utmost. " Bravo, Dravid"- you have made India proud , once again.

Once again the wall has proved himself as a class act!winning without significant contribution from Sachin's bat is the great thing that can happen.
