Why the heck is everyone goin after Ganguly's blood. Nobody in his life has ever been a leader like that. He has been the best captain we have ever had even though he couldnot win us the WORLD CUP. But what does that change. see the change that he has brought in the team. Even if you dont win Cup, If you make a big change ( like he has done) it is the best achievement you could get. He is the catalyst of the Sea-Wave that is changing the whole attitude of the crickets in the country.
ganguly is only the trusted player in oneday chasing matches.most of the matches won by india during chasing had a critical ganguly role as a batsman and as a captain also.coming to test matches india has a bad record overseas.but the time now is to change the things.and in this also ganguly inspiring his boys very well and at the same time he is also contribiting and maturing as a captain.
Ganguly is most definitely the most outspokena and the best person to lead the current team. He is definitely responsible for the strength of the Current Indian side. That is shown by Veeru opening the batting, Parthiv doing the keeping and Laxman playing down the order in Tests and Dravid keeping in the One Dayers is ample testimony to it. If one is a real fan of Indian cricket then he should remember the way he asked Steve Waugh to mind his own Business when he commented on the Sachin's ball tampering issue in South Africa, when 6 Indian Cricketers were punished in some way or the other. I feel that he has the guts to deal with all nonsense that is thrown at him to come out strong. He is a deserving and a mentally strong captain in the current situation who might not have performed upto his potential in the Test matches but in Onedayers he has always done well and his record speaks for itself.
