comment on selectors' policy
by sujatha on Dec 12, 2003 08:41 PM

As Mr. Arjun has stated the absence of Jadeja is a big loss for the Indian team as it is not only missing a good all-rounder but also a very efficient and enthusiastic captain. The attitude of the selectors, as we know is always hostile towards some players. It will be very clear if we read the interview of Sadagopan Ramesh another good player in which he has stated that at some moment he was thinking of quitting the game. It is now very inevitable that the selectors should change their attitude in order to save the spirit of Indian cricket. Otherwise we will have to lose a lot of efficient players like Jadeja, Sanjay Manjrekar and Robin Singh. Will they think about it?

A magic called Jadeja
by Arjun on Dec 12, 2003 01:15 AM

Thanks to a string of controversies and our excellent selection policy, we have lost a magic called Jadeja from our national team. This blistering 206 is reminiscent of what this tremendous personality is capable of. Ganguly, though good is no match to Jadeja in captaincy, stratergy or game plan. Selectors, wake up...here is a legendary captain who is wasting his time on proving innocence. No man with common sense will be ready to believe this guy is corrupted. I am sure not me alone but majority of our nation still believes Jadeja is innocent. Everytime we hear that our team lacks committment, aggression, professionalism, its a big joke, for we have a classic example in Jadeja who had all of these still could not be in team due to suspicion on a case which is still under investigation and could not prove that he is totally at mistake! If this is the policy we have to follow, then more than 80% of our ministers should be fired from their posts! At the helm of it, we have added one more player to the list of performers who have been disappered from the team - Robin Singh, Sairaj Bahutule, Vinod Kambli, Vijay Bharadwaj, S S Das,.....the list is to continue
