Murali ? It is a master stroke and psychological advantage to Team India !
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on Dec 11, 2003 04:48 PM

The news that left arm spinner Murali Kartick is on his way to Australia is a terrific boost to the fortunes of Team India. By including Brad Williams the Aussies were trying to gain a psychological advantage which has been effectively nullified by our think tank Down Under. Murali Kartick's inclusion has widened the bowling options and Team India has already taken the front and leading position in terms of strategy. Moreover the name Murali has caused panic and nightmares for Australian batsmen for almost a decade. They have been mesmerised by the other Murali. Good luck and happy hunting to our Indian Murali. A sound and fantastic addition to the bowling repertoire.

My view
by Yogesh Shejwal on Dec 11, 2003 03:53 PM

I think in austrilia Harbhijan is the best choice
and no other should be selected.
Also in aus the pitches support pace bowlers so more
pace bowlers should be given chance than spiners

Murali
GOOD show by selectors and Let him be selected for all the remaining matches
by Murali on Dec 11, 2003 02:29 PM

This is real fantabulous of the selectors.

I really pray Karthick does the trick for India in Australia.
As said in this article, He is in probable for the second test 11. That makes it nice

Let Murali Karthick makes a WIN for India

''Reinforcement'', not ''replacement''
by Dr T S Raman on Dec 11, 2003 12:46 PM

It is called "reinforcement" because we cannot replace the reputed brand names "Kumble" and "Harbhajan". In other words, they are irreplaceable. But, how do we accommodate Kartik in the team now? One solution is to change the rules to permit twelve (or 13? 14?) players in a side. I hope BCCI will take steps for this change in rules in time for the test starting tomorrow.
