They could acheive better in terms of an extra Test match than a couple of ODIs. Because it has been close to 5 years since the last test match that these two teams played. In that sense, 4 Test matches and 3 ODIs would add value, because with these two teams fighting intensely, the entertainment value is going to that much better and only one extra day of cricket (a max of five days added with 4 days taken off). We see these teams playing ODIs every couple of years atleast and so a extra test match will be a good addition. Will the BCCI respond and add a extra test?
