the overall mood of rediff articles seem to be euphoric, with even indian test series victory being redicted after good performance in the first test.
Let us please wait for the complete results of the series to come out before we start rejoicing. Aussies are known to be great fighters and it might still happen that we have to return with the tail in our legs.
the board&the team management had done a great work for the last 1 year.the appointment of gordon as the psycologists is one of them.he had made rthe team beleive in themselves. its not over we (indians) have to beat them in there soil to take revenge of the final of world cup. IT'S NOW OR NEVER. LOVE sathya
As always, too much is being made out of India managing to draw a rain-affected shortened test match against the Aussies. Yes, the Indians played well, they were great performances by Zaheer & Ganguly but let's not go overboard and take this as the trend for the series. India had the better of conditions both while batting as well as bowling, and a lead of less than 100 odd runs is not even close to 'domination'. The Aussie batting in the 2nd innings showed us what they are capable of when the conditions are normal, and this is the way it's going to be for the rest of the series. This test was an exception, India has a long long way to go.
These mantras and tantras are not going to help. There is no doubt about the Team's batting talent and the quality of the bowling, what they lack is consistency and belief in themselves. Once they play to their full potential, they can defeat any team in the world, including Australia.
