This is nothing but shear waste of time.Calculating the past does not secure the future. The press must learn to live in present rather than kidding about the past.
i think this observation is not just on parts of indian team who is trying well to play in aus.Press and media, leaving their culture and tradition to criticize indian team, should also encourage our team
One was quite surprised and dismayed to note the omission of Sadagopan Ramesh from the line up, for the Ist Test at Brisbane. Here is one batsman who has floruished in the Tour's side games and is in Prime touch and he finds himself sidelined. Akash Chopra finds a preference over him just because he made big scores at HOME against a weak opponent. Players like Devang Gandhi and Akash Chopra get the favours of playing at HOME against weak opponents, where as players like Ramesh, Hemang Badani and Murali Kartik gets pitted against STRONG TEAMS and are expected to perform as per TEAM MANAGEMENT'S EXPECTATIONS and inspite of Good performances, get sidelined. This gives a clear indication, that there is a strong wave blowing against ONE PARTICULAR DIRECTION. One need not explain, against which direction it is. IT IS UNDERSTOOD.
What about the historic test where Laxman scored 281. Aussies did bat first and scored more than 300. Well, I dont know who won the toss but does that matter ?
Horses for Courses , the assumpion this author has made is that all grounds and all conditions were the same ! what an idiotic statistic to give ! that too on the firstday of a match !
The author feels so sadly inferior 'himself' about India's cricketing prospects down under that he entitles his statistical analysis, "Why India cannot win Brisbane Test". If any of his inane arguments hold any weight ... we all should abandon 'fields' in favour of 'computers'. Bravo Mr. Author, you earn the credit for wishing your team so well so early in the tour !!!
