VVS Laxman
by Gunasekhar on Dec 08, 2003 10:43 PM

Once again VVS Laxman Proved he better than any other PlayerI never seen any body playing like him. Beatiful Strokes just kissing the bat.
Keep him in both One Dayers and Test Matches at Least for the next world Cup becuase most top Class Bowlers fear of Him than Batsman Tendulkar

Donald, Mc Grath , Gillespe, Crains all Great Bowlers and Steve Waugh has good Repect for VVS Laxman Play.

Various Indian Selectors/Pandits does not Notice him
at all.

243 for 9 sounds so much better ................
by Jaydeep on Dec 06, 2003 01:21 PM

Sounds better, huh?? No offence meant, but it needs a lot of thinking and execution to make things happen than just sound better.
See, with a sweeper in the deep, you're setting a defensive field, and that might save you runs, but won't get you wickets. All the wickets Australia has lost so far is just not because they are playing badly, its because the Indians are playing an attacking game, they're taking it to the Aussies.
And as for a lower score, its definitely on the cards in the second innings, only if it doesn't rain anymore. Cheers!!

WELL DONE INDIANS
by AMAR on Dec 06, 2003 03:25 AM

A lot done and lot to be done. Indians did bowled really well . Absouletly what they did is great, no doubt in that. Indians now need to do with their bat aswell and win the first test to shuts the mouths of AUSTRALIANS( media and cric stars).

I feel Indians still can improve their bowling by concentrating on line and length rather than wicket to wicket bowling. In that way they can reduce the pressure on the Indian batsmen to chase small targets. Any one reviewing the match will notice this , which should be covered at this initial stage.

I wish great success in the Test Series

5 bowlers
by RPRavi Prasad on Dec 05, 2003 10:57 PM

Australia is playing with its full strength batting therefore the need for a fifth bowler for an inexperienced Indian Bowling Attack (20 wkts)is a must to win., The bowling is depleted in the absence of 3 match winners,Mcgrath,Lee & Warne and with Gullespie being injury prone, if Sachin,Saurav and Rahul cannot do the job they should "QUIT".
The logic of strengthening a star studded batting side at the cost of an additional bowler speaks poorly of the confidence levels our much vaunted batting to handle a depleted bowling side.
