The Legend in Cricket History
by Muhammad Abdullah Shafiq on Jul 16, 2006 08:44 PM

Saeed Anwar is my Favorite batsman. I used to partially lose intrest in Match whenever he got out Early. I regret the day he was unable to get 200. I think the Catch by Ganguly/ Kumble (i dun remeber well) hit the Ground and i still believe that the Decision wasn't fair enough. I Really Don't knw why !!!!
I am great fan of Anwar and his retirement put me in a shock !! I still watch his batting in Recorded Matches.

My Prayers for his Happiness are always with him.

Best wishes Anwar.U have been a treat to watch.I respect u a lot for the quality that u brought about in the world of cricket.Players of ur calibre need to be given a red carpet farewell. But this is the life of a celebrity...best example being Kapil Dev.People tend to forget the glory that people like u brought to the nation.I as an Indian salute u.best wishes in ur future endeavours.God Bless

great cricketer
by Indian_Analyst on Sep 18, 2005 01:48 AM

Saeed Anwar was classy, stylish and non-controversial.
One of my all time favourites.

The death of his 3 year old daugter is painful for his fans like me. I cannot imagine what he went through.

I am glad that he found solace somewhere (Islam)
But statements like Islam is the only truth is STUPID.
That means all the rest are sinners and will go to hell. I wish people had more common sense.

I hope he will find his peace with Islam and still retain tolerance.
