this young tamilnadu team seems to be a very talented side.they played extremely well in their semifinal against delhi.balaji still is a good prospect and there are players kile badani and sriram who can make a lot of difference.this team can go a long way.

tamilnadu's classic performers
by pushparaj.c..v on Apr 30, 2003 03:32 PM

Tamilnadu has produced potential players over the years. Badani is one of the best oneday player, ramesh is one of the verygood test opener, sriram is a versatile allrounder and ever dependable sharath, in this group the latest addition is L.Balaji.

The national selectors should pick up atleast two players from tamilnadu for the forthcoming INDIA-NEWZEALAND series. They have to try MR.Dependable Sharat or Testcricket star Ramesh and L.Balaji.

I think, under the captainship of Ganguly, TN Players are continually being ignored. The case of Murali Kartik is a good example.Whether TN players play for their state or any institutional teams , they continue to get raw deal from Ganguly. Ganguly still continues his support for Mongia who has done very poorly in world cup.what urges him to carry on with Mongia?Likewise, S.Ramesh,Hemang Badani,L.Balaji and Sriram are treated very poorly.

TN players should get their chances
by Shankar on Apr 30, 2003 12:08 PM

Although, players from TN has shown their talents time & again in the domestic circuits, they fail to receive a fair deal from the selectors. This team has entered the final of the show piece event of Indian cricket but no player from this team represents India, even when they send a depleted side to Dhaka.
Balaji is the latest of the unfortunate player to have represented TN. Right from Srikkanth the list goes long. Robin singh, S Ramesh,S Sriram, T kumaran and now Balaji. One wonders what is the selection policy for the team.
Balaji although he has done very well in the pitches that are not conductive to pacemen, is still being ignored for the national team.
I wonder how could one justify the presence of Agarkar and Bangar when Balaji is raring to go.
Indian test team is till searching for a quality test opener. And Ramesh was out of the team after his successful tour of SriLanka and still being ignores.

Ranji Trophy semi final

The kotla stadium was empty. a few who cheered sehwag or TN victory were the Players, reserves and seniors like bedi and pataudi.I cannot believe the huge gap in the public response to the same player in a domestic match vis-a-vis an internationl match.I can lay my finger to the media hype for the huge difference.
Bcci and the local Boards should understand the basics of marketing and promote their crucial matches to encourage talent and to discover some hidden talent as well.

Well Done TN

Tamil Nadu players are proving themself when veterns
like Srinath career is just about to end. Persons
like Balaji should be used at this stage so as to
put a good pace attack in the coming future.

Way to Go TN

Way to Go TN....

Lets beat BBY in their home and bring back Ranji after 15 years....

But this time lets hope that the SCHEDULE WONT BE BENT TO ACCOMODATE the best batsman in the world so that he can score a double century with Bahutale and Mambrey on the other end and take the game away from us.....

Balaji ?
by KEshav on May 02, 2003 12:34 PM

Sorry guys. Ur feedback won't be seen by selectors as well as Ganguly. Ganguly is just blind on Agarakar and Mongia and he is not looking at Balaji and Bedani.
