Jadeja should be in India Eleven.

Jadeja is a top class player. He is a genuine all-rounder. I think He should be included in the team in place of Dinesh Mongia. When South Africa can have services of Gibbs(Who was also match fixer) why can't India. Better late than never.

BCCI's dirty game
by Srinivasan on Apr 28, 2003 08:01 PM

An arbitrator was decided with the consent of both the parties viz. BCCI and Ajay Jadeja. It is expected that both the parties will honor the verdict of the arbitrator. However, BCCI has chosen not to accept it and has chosen to file an appeal against the arbitrator's decision. They chose to file the appeal at the last moment. Atleast they should allow him to play till a decision is taken on their appeal. Now that India does not have International commitments for some time, Ajay should be permitted to play domestic cricket. This will help him to get back to form and when the court decides to dismiss BCCI's appeal (This will be the outcome), Ajay will be fit to be considered for selection to the Indian team.

It looks like BCCI's intentions are not honorable and they have decided to finish AJay's cricketing career. All said and done, Ajay has been a great cricketer and has served the Indian team well. His presence in the Indian team will help the team a lot and enable the team to perform even better.

Further he has been punished when his guilt has not been proved. In other countries, the players are not normally punished till they are proved guilty and they continue to play for the country, even when the inquiry proceedings are on. I don't understand why India has different procedure. Although Azhar has been banned for life, his involvement in the match fixing scandal is yet to be proved. On the whole BCCI has been acting in a high handed manner, no matter who the incumbent to the post of the President is.

Is there no authority in India, which can throw out the present BCCI officials and induct new officials, who will be fair to the game as well as the players? It is high time some serious thought is given to revamp the BCCI.

Ridiculous

This is such a farce. Now when HC has already decided thru an arbitrator that Jadeja be given reprieve and be considered for the selection, why is BCCI raising hell and that too just two days before the directive was to go in force!
By using such dillying and dallying tactics, BCCI hopes to prolong this court room drama and it knows by the time drama is over, Jadeja as a player would be finished. He'd be unfit, out of form and old with no merits standing for him in his selection. Jadeja should sue BCCI big time for the loss of his playing years.
