A classic example of the art of book design and production, each succeeding volume of Wisden builds on the achievement of its predecessors. Few cricket lovers are fortunate to have a bookshelf of "yellow soldiers" and a full collection is a measure of one's passion for the game. You may find yourself at odds with the opinions, but remember this is also a publication of record. While the web has made all this information more accessible, wouldn't you rather feel the pages, smell the binding and take pride in seeing a volume in your library?
Wisden has always been an "English" publication and it continues to be so. One only needs to see the list of Wisden Cricketer of Year to see the bias. They will make sure that one or two english people are included in the list no matter what. This cover is again a continuation - there are many people much more deserving of a cover place than Vaughan. For a supposedly "Classic" shouldn't they have chosen say - Richards/ Sachin/ Steve Waugh/ Akram - so many others. Its just another case of white hypocricy.
Hello there.....one more step closer to prove that widen is a magazine that primarily focusses on English Circket.....their ratings does not figure Sachin prominently......all their efforts to cover up now goes out of the window......Michael Vaughan for cover....wonderful

Glad to see that people share my view of wisden. Its shamelessly biased and has continued its preference for english cricket...
High time we have a good cricket publication focussed on cricket in the sub-continent - after all this is the new home of cricket - and then put Sachin on the cover. Nobody deserves it better...

Hi, Sachin must be the greatest bastman. But, still seven test 100s in a year is a remarkable achievement. Isn't it?
