Current Australian team is no doubt is a great side. However, to compare them with Clive Lloyd's or Viv Richard's West Indies is injustice to the ability of those sides. Winning is not the only criteria for a side to be great, the way of winning is. The West Indies in that era no doubt had hammered all the sides. But the fact that no batsman or bowler had dominated them, no doubt, Sunil Gavaskar had scored a lots of runs against them, however, no batsman had dominated over their attack, the way the current Aussies are domiated by the batsmenship of V.V.S.Laxman and Brian Lara and bowlings of Harbhajan Singh, Shoaib Akhtar, Saqlain Mushtaq etc. Conclusion is that they are great but not as great the old Windies were.
