its sad that the indian selectors have thrust upon the captainship to shewag.allthough its temporary players like shewag cannot be given more responsibilities and lose his batting touch.shewags captainship was also poor and shouldnt be asked to lead till he establishes himself.

bangladesh captain

bangladesh board should stick to one captain and to one coach, they should not change them for every 6 months or so, their bowlers are also not bowling to fielding , they should learn for kenya.
they have to improve in many areas like fielding , discpline bowling( no need to attak)( once u stop give runs then they (opposite team) will try to do some thing extra.

Sehwag has now matured enough as a one day batsman. But he still has to improve alot should perform consistently playing his natural game. With best wishes for him and Indian cricket team to win and perform at their best

Kaif should have been the captain
by Ashutosh, Edison, USA on Apr 17, 2003 04:25 AM

Kaif will make better captain than Sehwag. He has cool and thinking mind.

Best players need not make best captains. History is full of such examples, Botham, Sachin etc were failures as captains.

Groom Kaif

Kaif was the captain for the under-19 Indian team. Apart from Draivd (and in many cases, mroe than Dravid himself), Kaif seems to be the most level-headed guy in our team. He seems to have the grasp of the situation and thinks to control. He seems to be a more logical candidate for a stand-in skipper and also as a future skipper. It doesn't make any sense in making Sehwag the captain just because he's the leading run getter. We've already seen great cricketeers being bad captains in the form of Sachin, Lara and to a great extent, Viv Richards and Ian Botham.
