Patel should be given heaps of chances...his go alot of skill his got that looks(sorry had to add that)..you need him...im a BIG fan of his and he should stay...yeah dravid is good but i think he should stay with batting!!!GO PATEL!!!
Indian team has a lot of talent that they have shown in the world cup. Only thing which was required is to explore it and ganguly has done the same... I wish them all the best
I just cant understand how Parthiv patel is getting lots of oppurtunities .. who is behind him ?? first he gets to play for india in Test and ODI even though he has bad record in Domestic cricket. Now he is getting to Open the innings. Sadly he cant bat at all . The guy who can bat is sitting in shadows.. he is Pankaj Dharmani india's only true keeper batsman .. to prove my point here is Dharmani's Ranji record he has as good record as dravid & Laxman. a true superstar from Punjab.
it wud have been a good idea to give A.T.Rayudu a chance to play in this tournament...from wat i hear he is the best of the lot to come and he only 17 i think
the World Cup finalist Indian team should not hesitate experimenting against teams like Bangladesh. Bangladesh has lost every single ODI since the 1999 World Cup. Even the India Under-19 players can probably give the Bangladesh team a run for their money!
Saurav and Wright always has a lot of faith in the newcomers, who they believes "have the potential to succeed at the highest level".
This gives the young talent to show their talent and get the more needed Experience. And we should learn from WestIndies, Srilanka and South Africa's problem from the way they have struggled after the seniors have retired. Its the right team for the Indians to try out new players and give them the needed Exposure to build the Bench Strength. We have to realise Kumble and Srinath are about to retire and even the GReat SAchin, Saurav and DRavid has only 4 to 5 years of remaining Career and with the extent of Injuries these guys r getting and these players gettign older day by day. So its the right time to build the bench stength and if at all these thre great Guys retires from the Cricket some day, the transition should not become a problem.
