Ashoka Desilva's decision is frustrating the cricket fans now a days. He is always commiting mistakes in crucial matches. This will turn the match to the favour of the opposition team. These wrong decisions make players little bit lack of confidence in their future games. So, ICC should take necessary action against him or better to use technology when De Silva is umpiring in the match.
I think Asoka desilva makes mistakes regularly. Many times he makes mistakes in counting the balls even. So I think ICC should consider his case seriously and should sack him.
Perhaps he's getting soft as he nears the end of an admittedly remarkable career, but I think he's being a bit of a fraud really. All of a sudden, the man who talked about mental disintegration, the umpiring standards in other countries and what not whenever it suited his or his team's fancy, is now being the philosophical elder statesman of the game. If they had lost the game, or it had been tighter, he wouldn't be so nice to the umpire. He'd be ripping him to shreds and asking for technology to play a greater part. Then, he wouldn't call American sporting supervision as robotic, he'd call it necessary. What is this, an attempt to add a new element to his legacy??? I'm not buying it.
Waugh defending umpires now.Let me see his opinion after entire Test and ODI tour is over.It will be otherwise and you will see. International Umpiring is of poor standard. This was seen in world cup as well. There should be new umpires and not the limited #.How you can select just 11 umpires on elite panel. These umpires are too old and lethrgic.David Sheaperd,Steve Bucknor and D'silva should be reemoved immediately. There are many good and promising umpires.Do it now sanjay
he is the worst umpire around. he has made numerous wrong decisions. he doesn't deserve to be in elite panel of umpires. it's not the first time he has come under wrong umpiring controversy.
