Dear editor/journalist, Please inform the inventor(s) and the company (CMRI) to file/apply for a PATENT on the invented Technology. This is the most important to protect IP in international commercial market. Both the company and the inventor will be benefited.

I am amazed at how people make such nieve comments. File a patent? where? In india? A patent obtained in India is not valid outside India, and the writer shouls know this. Maybe he thinks the Indian companies are rich enough to file patents in all the countries now???? Besides a patent is always only as good as how well u can defend it.

Though your intention is correct it is technically wrong. A thing cannot be patented if its knowledge comes under pulic domain. Since the inventors of the technology have made it public in a press conference, it is no longer patentable. However, if they had filed for patent before making the press statement it can be patented.
