Brevo Ganguly..!!
I think for the sucess of this new look Indian team, Ganguly is to be given lot of credit. He has been phenomenon in giving chances and encouraging the young talents.

Giving the opening over to Salvi, is just an example. Yuvi is another example who even after a saky start to his career was persisted by "Maharaja", now we have this "Bevan of Indian Cricket"....

difference of opinion/ deference to Srinath required....

Is it fair to say "after Srinath fades away" ? This is disrespect to one of the more hard working of Indian pacers who has served the country well for so many years.
Also I differ, India has not yet proven its "bench strenghth" ... it will be proved only with creditable performances against high quality, experienced teams.

It is nice to see a speedstar of Avishkar Salvi's stature coming up for India. I am extremely pleased with the way he has bowled. Congratulations!! Keep it up. You are player with future.

Have we, after all, found a match for Glen McGrath? Thanks to Faisal's description, it seems we finally have a match in Aavishkar.

Although this game was all about Yuvraj, batting has always been a characteristics of an Indian team. Its only the bowling department that has rested on Zaheer & Harbhajan and Nehra(with - I would not be entirely wrong in saying - additional support of Kumble, Srinath - which Faisal has already mentioned as "fading away"!)

It is also a right time for us to make a batsman out of Parthiv Patel. I thought not playing Parthiv in any of the world cup match was a big mistake. They could have easily accomodated him against Namibia atleast! Besides, it only makes sense for the team - not to have Dravid risking his batting while keeping wickets.

I hope most of you will agree on this.

Well done India. Hope you continue this performance throughout the series!

Ranjit

The article is not up to the standard and at times it felt irritating when the collapse of the Bangladeshi team is being compared to Saddam and Iraq. It is childish.
