condolence letter from BCCI
by ntd on Apr 06, 2003 06:06 AM

Would some decent person in BCCI have teh courtsey to send a condolence message to Wright.

He did enough for the team to deserve at least this. Most likely he will be thrown out as Faisal's article spells it out.

I hope some of the superstars will give a call.

Please pass on our condolenses to Mr. Wright on his father passing away. I guess it would in fact be nice if you could collect all such message and pass on to him.

Will Rediff please convey our deepest sympathies to John Wright and his family on his father's bereavement ? I am sure the same will be appreciated by any Indian cricket fan.

solidarity

I think the entire indian team should wear black badges and play in dhaka as respect for their coach John Wright. Some senior members who are not playing the tour should try to join wright in NZL and offer their support. Comeon mate, this is family.

Wright won't go
by A gupta on Apr 05, 2003 07:51 PM

This is another example of Rediff putting up a unnecessarily sensational headline, completely undermining and subverting the actual issue. Wright has lost his father, and that should have been the headline. He is not going not because of politics but for human reasons. One wonders when Rediff eidtorial staff will learn to put things in perspective.
