Please note that the 'The Sachin out, I am out types' fans can be deemed as anti -nationals. Bcos they would be ok with Sachin scoring scoring a century and India loosing. It is the most pathetic group of fans. 90% majority of these fans are found in Maharashtra. Also this group of fans is a big irritant for Ganguly and Wright who plan their strategies keeping the whole team in mind and not only Sachin.
This is a really wonderful article. The author has succeeded in pinpointing every kind of Indian cricket fans. when I read this article the first feeling that comes to my mind is that, Hey, I know this type of a fan. I can clearly recollect all types of people mentioned here from my experince. A great effort from the author. Congratulations.
I would say that this is one of the best articles I have read on sports. I hope rediff.com keeps encouraging articles of this quality. The author's observation is just brilliant.
