The achievement of Krishna Pooniya in the Discuss throw bagging 7th position and Irfan getting 10th in the 20km Walk needs special mention and the Rediff should highlight this also.
A bronze is assured as I feel Mary will thrash her unfancied QF opponent and any one who reaches semfi_final in boxing gets the bronze medal as there is no bronze medal match between the two losing semifinalists.
However,to go for gold,she will have to first beat World Amateur Boxing champion Nicola_Adams in the semi_final and Asian games gold medalist Ren_Cancan in the final.
This calculation is based on their past performances and unless there is any upset,this should remain so.

ren cancan was thrashed by marykom in there last meeting but nicola adams will have referee with her... so bronze is only assured
