Kashyap went down to world no.1 in quarterfinals. Now Saina is facing the same situation in semis. She should have been lucky enough to get world n0.2 or 3 in semis. It is too tough to beat the no.1.Anyway,let us hope for the best.
Kudos to Saina for making it to the semis and wishing her all the best in the final and a Gold medal.
Indians need greater penetration in Olympic sports. Individual sponsors like rich industrialists must sponsor athletes in these sports. There are a lot of rich Indians and when they team up for a cause, things can happen.
We need greater penetration in many soft sports like: Diving, Fencing, Cycling, Kayaking, Canoeing Equestrianism, Rowing, Sailing and Shooting.
We have started with shooters but nothing much came from them this Olympics other than a bronze.

It is true my dear friend. You have the right perspective, about how shameful the situation is, But what baffles me is nobody is noticing the Donkey standing in the middle our our living rooms. Everybody still goes crazy after cricket.
A Hundred years of wasted sporting talent is too much. It is a matter of NATIONAL EMERGENCY my friends.
It is best if we get down on our knees and tie our shoe laces at-least once.

A lot of industrialists and businessmen do want to put money in sports and improve the standards but the politicians and the sports ministries say give us 90 % and we will invest the remaining 10% in the game.as long as we have the shi!!y leaders our country is going nowhere.
