One has to imagine how difficult is it for a Indian women to achieve against all odds of social, infrastructure, incentive and recognition. These people have done what they they done, because of the love of the spots. These girls need more attention and incentive. If only people and media pays 10% attention to these folks than the rotten IPL tamasha in the name of sports.

What are her timings and how do they stand aginst the Asian Records and World Records? At her nest PT Usha was fraction of a second slower when compared with the world's best. Nevertheless, kudos to this young lady for making proud. Let us wish her for more and more glory in the international arena for many more years to come. Hope she retains the vigor on training and hardwork.
Our over hyped cricketers earns in crores but what they give us in return is often disappointment...but athletes who have won medals in CWG and Asian games have to compete against tough opposition and what they get in return is peanut, at-least 2 crore must have been given to all the gold medal winners, our government have got of money to do so many scams then why don't they give this type of athletes what they deserve...

In India, Cricket was not so popular 30 years ago. Hockey and Football were equally popular. Only after India started producing champion players like Kapil and after 1983 world cup win, cricket started gaining many fold popularity. Whereas the other sports only went down and down. Hockey is our National Sport but where is it today in terms of International Ranking. They don't even automatically qualify for Olympics. South Korea, Malaysia, China and Japan have improved tremendously, whereas we have excelled only in internal politics in these sports. With the common India longing for good news, cricket provides it so today the common man watches more of this sport. So why blame cricket? Today people eagerly read and watch Chess, Tennis and Badminton as well and the champions in these sports are also making good money. If we do away with dirty politics and corruption in other sports and field events, public attention is sure to get. Blame the government, not cricket.
