Commonwealth Games
by Harshad Nerurkar on Oct 04, 2010 02:20 PM

Yes, it was moment of glory and pride for India. Looking at the other big opening ceremonies organized by other countries, we were nothing less spectacular. The programs, the timings, synchronization all showed we have arrived.
It was all said weel in newspapres in Australia, GB etc.
I can only say keep up the spirit!!

Now that the "masters" have told the Indian media will follow western media.Nobody objects corruption being exposed. But the media here went overboard to denigrate our country as a bunch of incapable. Hats of to our cultural team

Fitting start...
by CoolGuy on Oct 04, 2010 02:08 PM  | Hide replies

After all the negative build up, the opening ceremony was one of the best that I have seen so far. I dont want to compare it with anything, but it was simply superb when we compare it to all the negative hype that the media had created in the past couple of weeks. There is and for sure a lot of corruption behind the scenes, but for one the country's name was held high with such a organised performance. If we can be this organised in all aspects then I will have no shame in calling myself a Proud Indian (even if that doesn't happen am still a Proud Indian).. Jai Hind

DAY 1 : Australian swimmers are already down with the Food poisoning...you Moron, set you expectations right, kalmadi and his Gang has already raped your money. Last time preparations and a Good show in the begining doesnt cover up all the shit done by the sports minister, Delhi government and the Kalmadi gang.
We all want the games to be successful but not this way, Private firms like infy, wipro ,tcs, Birla,Godrej...etc are far more better because they set the accountability , plan there budgets and most important there is something called PROJECT mgment , not sure if you had done something lilke that in your life.
I know there are couple of gang who hate IT/BT , but country has gained lot of revenue and attention in the global market and also it has moved our economy and you can still see lower middle class are moving to upper middle class and Rich class.

First they discraced the country and now same people and media praising them. Something is definitely wrong.
