I missed the game yesterday but shocking. I thought that Germany would have won the match, but seems their over confidence made them lose this game.

well hari, a team needs to play consistently all the way, or raise the tempo slowly and steadily.this is the trademark of spainiards..the germans peak in one match, then slow down in the next match and again slam in 4 goals in the next and again they slow down, there is a bit of inconsistency..as some one in the media put out, if u own ball posession, u own the game..this is what spain has been doing all along since euro 2008..

Morning, Hari, bad luck that your fav Germany lost. It was a good match, fast and pacy and in the end the slick pace of Spain put them thr to the final.

So Octopus has proved right and the score line was also right. I feel it should be a cracker of a final with both raring to win it for the first time.

Pedro selfishness restricted Spain to take 2-0 lead. Spain got many strong chances while Germany got 1 only.

Spain Or Holland?
by manoj nair on Jul 08, 2010 10:13 AM

I am satisfied whatever may be the outcome of Final. Both teams were under achievers albeit they had talented players in the past. Wait for history in making.

As expected Spain completely dominated. Scoreline doesn't show the actual difference.

well, animals
by veerapuram dharan on Jul 08, 2010 10:06 AM

animals definitely lack the extra sense compared to humans, but they possess divinely powers when it comes to predicting certain things..ants and certain cattle predicts if an earth quake is going to happen or not..they show some kind of panic and swiftly move away from the place where the calamity is going to happen..paul's powers are definitely not surprising and he means serious business..

The WC has become crap, ever since greece won in euro2004,the game has become too defensive..basically spain were playing a barca style game...ball possession etc, poor germans were stuck in their own half.now virtually all goals are freak goals-deflections,corners,own goals, rebounds etc.whatever happened to the great goals from open play or free kicks...the artistry is definitely missing!

well, the reason being, attacking teams like argentina and brazil had too many openings against their opposition previously..teams these days study the strengths and weaknesses of top teams..tahts the reason, every team will initially be cautious when playing against attacking teams and they tend to be too defensive..just few minutes before hooter, they open up and all the tamasha and artistry can be seen in those dieing minutes...

Spain vs holland
by Michael on Jul 08, 2010 09:56 AM  | Hide replies

I would like to know what the color blind octopus has to say about this. What if pakistan and india flags are placed in a jar for predicting the football world cup? It will surely pick a jar for its food, does that mean any of the teams is going to win? the octopus looks mysterious with eight limbs then its no oracle. I'm sure the final prediction will be wrong.

You may be right but the octopus has been spot on till now. The probability for that is very less and hence people ought to believe this one. It is a question of belief in some phenomena.

i saw not a spanish team against germon demons, but they looks like 11 gods descended from heaven who were playing..it was such a delight to see them possesing the ball as if it is theirs..any one disagree??
