Begaani shaadi mein, abdullah deewana !!!
by Globalcrusador on Jan 14, 2010 09:12 AM  | Hide replies

While all top officials including the Sports Minister are jumping with joy, imagine for a moment, what would have happened if Sahara had not come forward with their Rs. 1 Cr. help. It is high time, Indian hockey is headed by pro- fessionals and their finances put in order, on a long term basis. Why not open up the different teams to private sponsorship as is being done with IPL ?. Is it feasible ? Hockey in India suffers from poor quality administra- tion.

absolutely! these mo-ronic babus and mantris are useless. Sportsmen represent our nation , they HAVE to be paid well . s it is they don't have fame approaching cricketers. Atleast give them some encouragement.

And please playing for ur country is a privilege but we shouldn't take sportsmen for granted.

Non sportsmen Sports officials are not to be trusted .....
by Cedric Vaz on Jan 14, 2010 07:56 AM

Dhanraj Pillai (former Captain and hockey player) is an ideal choice to be in charge and oversee our national and international hockey teams in India.
Thanks to former hockey chiefs like KPS Gill who ran our hockey in an autocratic and unsporting manner which has brought us to deplorable depths today!
Our boys must now let their hockey sticks do the talking....

Board for Control of Hokey in India (BCHI)
by Sanjay Sawal on Jan 13, 2010 11:02 PM

What 22 boys could anticipate why the Administrators could not? What were they doing from May.09 till date ? It is the politics in Hockey and this is the reason Hockey did not progress like Cricket in India. I am sure if the BCHI runs the hockey in India it will be definetely be more popular than Cricket. If the hockey sport is de-politicised as like Cricket that Big Amount of Money will definetely come in Sport. Fund participants are scared of the money they donated will be swallowed by these corrupt administrators instead of using it for the benefit of the playeres. And million dollor question is will the Govt./Political persons/beauraucrats etc will allow that to happen ?

they deserve more
by bhullar on Jan 13, 2010 08:41 PM

if we want to win the world cup again, this is the 1st good step taken by the players. specially for the future of Indian hockey. and i think national team players deserve more than 4.5 lakh/month.
how could they can play with financial stress always on them. Matto offered rs 25,000 it seems like a big joke, it is a national pride to offer them this much amount in this modern world?

i fully support for the players and they are working on future of Indian Hockey.

keep it on Bro's
