Its been an utter shame ....as Usha rightly said,,anju is just a kid,,,(by mental )age for sure....If usha had got any of the training facilities now anju is having, she would have really won the olympic gold for our country....Now anju and her husband is really enjoying their life by terming it as "TRAINING'...above all we call people champions when they delivers their best when it matters the most , Usha have done it many times,,,And Anju have failed to deliver the best whenm it mattered the most,,,,Usha have really rated anju well,,,a kid who has lot more to grow. Thanks, Manoj George.

Hi Manoj
U said said what i was going to reply. U are 100% right. If Usha got half of the support(money and facilities) what Anuju is getting now,Usha would have deff brough us an Olympic medal. But Usha also did a big mistake of keeping that "faltoo" Nambiar as coach
This is a fight as if both the women have a common husband. Both the sports are different requiring different merits. Times are different. Anju should know how to address issues. Approach of Usha is quite O.K.
u know what.. PT Usha.. without government support.. and just forget abt taht support.. also without the things that could make her nice.. but still she managed to win the world.. no matter whether she won any medal or not.. btu she did win the world.. if she was given all kind of support and things.. she would have won it. just see.. PT Usha without any thing.. won 4th.. and otherws with supports.. won 1st.. but that too with just marginal difference.. if PT Usha had those things.. she would have win with huge difference..
This Anju Bobby George always finishes a dismal sixth or seventh place in any international meet, keeps complaining that India is not doing enough for her, keeps accepting the land and houses and cash-awards from the foolish Indian government for her abysmal performances, and has the gall to criticize P. T. Usha. This Anju Bobby George reminds me of Azahruddin, in more ways than one.
PT Usha is the one who brought laurels to athletics in India while Indians knew only Cricket and had some vague memories of Hockey. She is really great.
Anju is free to have her opinion, but she should learn to talk with humility in public. If she really felt so about the Payyoli Express, she should have kept silent or avoided this kind of rude answer. She should learn diplomacy and respect for seniors who are like GURU (Matha, Pitha, Guru deivam).
Usha, you are really great. We will always remember you as the Golden Girl. Cheers!

Anju has right to choose her role model. How can the press ask her why she did not choose Usha? This is unneccessary question from press that triggered this controversy. Press creates news by posing such questions and triggering such war of words between persons.

I too agree...its the fault of the press...both are great atheletes...and Anju has all the right to choose her idol...

Very true.. the press unnecessarly thrives on ppls personal opnions and some how insults democracy where personal opnion has to be respected...
Anju is only hot gas nothing more, she cant deliver when it really matters. How dare she belittle Usha's efforts. Usha is indeed a world class Athelet..the best the country has produced without a doubt.
I think the people whom to be blamed here is only press. First they ask all nonsense questions, then they make all non subject related things as headlines. Ex is rediff itself, we can see so many spicy titles, but when we read it, there would be hardly one line similarity btw the title and the contents. I would not say what Anju said was perfectly correct, but the press has to be blamed. It is just as like someone asks you, "whom do you like most, ur mom or ur dad". Is is going to hurt anyone with any answer, even if it is honest and true.
