I suppose, after Milkha Singhji, Paes and Rathore, Vishy is the Best sports Personality India has ever produced. Since the 70s.
I am categorically not mentioning the Cricketers as the Indian Bureaucracy is always been biased and lacked promoting the sports. But in particular AICC has done well to take Chess to the Grass root level and now I can see that many more chess players would come out of India. Its hardly though, that the peaks which Vishy has scaled, anybody would be able to. But the younger lot would definitely try their best to catch up the Gap atleast.
Thank You Vishy for making us Proud. Wish you all the best for the future. And pls... add another title to your kitty from Linares.

Nishant,
I think any joker can report messages for abuse and the program can remove it automatically. I have been a victim many times. I have posted positive inputs and have been stumped, as some are reported for abuse and later removed! At the same time, messages that can make veterans in the nudist colony blush, seem to have a long life like our politicians!
Accept it as quirks of daily life!
I almost clicked "submit" before wishing heartiest congrats to the true champion of India. A role model for us all. Keep going despite all the odds, Anand. You are truly one of a kind.

Yeh, the other day even I came across the same situation... and surprisingly with the Artical related with Vishy.
I wonder whether Rediff Moderators actually check the messages marked as Abuse. But Nishant, keep up posting the encouraging words for our sports personalities. They need it [except the Cricketers].

Yes, anand is the greatest indian sportsman. much ahead of gavaskar and tendulkar. chess is a global game unlike cricket which is played by 9 countries.
