Our government awarded Padmashri to her at a very young age just for winning some non grand slams and standing at ranks ranging in 20s. IMO she does not deserve it. Does Padmashri have no much value? They shud think carefully next time while giving away such awards!

I suppose they should award it to armchair chumps like you, because you have taken down federer and co with your bad breath? Try running 100m as fast as you can and then try saying the crap that you do..

Whoa! Easy pals! I am just trying to say that Padmashri be given to folks who have proven over time..not for a flash in a pan. Be a little stringent on giving national awards!

Ha ha ha - a two cent worth benched gulti s/w coolie in some nondescript company questioning the award given to the only Indian girl to have been in the World top 40 consistently over the last two years and has beaten top ten players.
What has been your achievement bloody benched coolie ? Tera aukaaat kya hai ? The day you win a Padmashri, come back and question her.

Wow...your language , sense of reasoning and Power of assumptions proves that you are a true Sania fan, only people with low self esteem like you can be fan for her....LOL u speak all that crap but you are coward enough not to even put your name when you say something, awy to go crap talker.
RE:Most Over hyped tennis player
by Debo Mcnair on Feb 28, 2008 01:16 AM
Wow! All he said was that Sania dosent need to be hyped up so much. Agreed she is the first Indian to make it this far, but by putting her on a pedestal we are infact saying that mediocrity is okay. I got three things from your mail.
1. You are not a gulti, but most probably a paki mullah trying to divide Indians 2. You are not into software, but most probably a call center phone answerer or a hotel clerk or unemployed. 3. You dont value excellence, but appreciate mediocrity from people of your kind (religion/language etc)

if you talk about mediocrity, look at RSS the organisation that barks loudest without ever doing anything worthwhile ,including a minimal contribution to the freedom struggle .

abe chup kar yaar if Nehru. Indira Gandi and Rajeev Gandi could be given Bharat ratna, sania can be given padmashree
Seeds beyond 10th position in tennis are hardly known in their respective countries, but out here its quite different. There have been better performing sportswomen (P.T Usha, Anju Bobby George, Dola Bannerjee, Anjali Bhagat etc.) who've made India proud by ACTUALLY WINNING MEDALS, but alas they don't seem to wear mini skirts, nor do they get "fatwas" in their name and ofcourse the "secular" Indian media doesn't consider them worth their editorial columns.

what have you acheived in life? can you place against 1000 seed on this planet and win a single set? Shame on you! you are from the group of people who killed mahatma gandhi and now promoting hatred among people based on religion! Shame on you and your culture!

To laugh often and love much; To win respect of intelligent people; And the affection of children; To earn the approbation of honest critics And endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To give one's self; To leave the world a little better, Whether by a healthy child, A garden patch, Or redeemed social condition; To have played and laughed with enthusiasm And sung with exultation; To know even one life has breathed easier Because you have lived... This is to have succeeded.

dumb fellow, she has the best forehand on the planet in a globally compettive game from a country not known for producing GS singles champions.

atleast sania is mediocre.. u r useless..fit for nothing besides sit on your big as&*s and type this nonsense...aare..get a tennis racket and hit the balls out of Jokovic, roger & nadal...than talk to me..
The only Championship that she ever won was the local HYDRABAD OPEN, and it has been sometime... Now that she has stopped playing in India, Chances of winning another championship is bleak... But hang on, It will take only one win to make india go praise riot, in land of hungry people for heroes... O well, when you have a UPA minister for sports, who by the way is a communist, and says sports do not matter, and that there are other things more important, you know where india stands...

what did you win? Ever? The afternoon tea generated chana farting competition with your fellow colleagues?
Wrong header though it is only a technical point - yes she has crashed out of the singles after giving world#4 Jankovic a scare, but she is still in there in the doubles and playing a match right now - try the website dubaitennischampionships and go into live scores. They are playing against the #1 seeds and right now it is one set apiece and the third set is just starting.....
RE:Wrong Header - she is still in the Dubai Open in Doubles

She gave Jankovic a scare!!! She was also scared in the first round by "qualifier"-First set won n tie-breaker!

by ravi s on Feb 28, 2008 12:13 AM
she still lost u idiot...Nobody remembers whether she won a set...you have to win the match....Whats the point giving a scare...And doubles is meant for those who fail in singles....
