by Kittappa on Feb 04, 2008 09:06 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Sania,

India is not a place for talent. There are always people to pull you down. Please move to the US or UK or some country which are really secular and which encourage talent. Please do this to be good to yourself and your career. Indians can not think beyond caste, religion, reservation and violence. India does not deserve any talent because Indians will only try to harm the talent in every possible way rather than fostering it.

From a well wisher who felt the same doing research in INdia.

I agree with Kitappa and I don't think that makes him a paki or a jehadi ... India is no place for talent ... it's a place good for mediocres who are used to being pushed around, tread over, used as a doormat, lied to and cheated to.

Brain drain is better than brain in a drain ... Sania should move on with her life and settle elsewhere ... India is for mediocres ... she has some merit.

I agree with Kittappa. Even I left India because of dirty politics in indian education system. Although I was doing fair enough publishing 3 internationa research papers, I kept on waiting for PhD program registration for 4 yrs and finally decided to leave India and landed to US. On the contrary, my colleagues from reserved quota with below average pursued PhD without any research only bcoz head was from reserved quota! India is sinking ! God save INDIA. I pray, indians should think about such serious issues.

You are right MR. JIM.

THIS IS THE FILTH IN INDISTAN.

IT stinks in INDIA. EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE, EVEN IN SPORTS. SHITZ!

YOU WERE WISE LIKE A FEW OF US, TO ADAPT IN OTHER ZONES IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD.

SANIA DOES NOT NEED ASYLUM. SHE WILL BE RECEIVED FREELY IN ALMOST ANY PLACE IN THE GLOBE. A RANKING IN THE TOP 30'S AND THESE MFS DON'T EVEN VALUE THAT.

MAN, IN THE US, AUSTRALIA, UK, EUROPE, CHINA, AND MOST PLACES - THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF HER WITH FUNDS, AND ALL FACILITIES, AND THE BEST COACHES, ETC.
IN INDISTAN, THESE PLAYERS HAVE TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES.

I VAGUELY REMEMBER ABOUT THAT SHOT-MAN, WHO LOST AN IMPORTANT WORLD EVENT (OR WAS IT THE ASIAN GAMES, i DON'T KNOW), BECOS HE COULD NOT GET THE RIGHT QUALITY IMPORTED PISTOLS / GUNS, WHATEVER. AND EARLIER HE HAD WON MANY LAURELS FOR THE COUNTRY.

There is absolutely no need to move out of india, Sania should be left alone to do her best and sports people need to wear clothes suited to the game. She is not going out of way by wearing what she is wearing. It is the sick & ignorant and non-sports people like you who get involved into creating problems to real sports persons. If you are better,if you know how to it better, show it to India. Till that time you better shut up and keep qiute.

Message for Girish...
by imran patel on Feb 04, 2008 09:04 PM  | Hide replies

Girish,
Your argument w.r.t. Sania disrespecting the flag is childish in a sense but also fearfull as it is comparable to the arguments made by the Mullas, a.k.a "Agents of Intolerance".

Some facts: (Source: Wikipedia)

- Prior to 2002, the general public of India could not fly their national flag publicly except on designated national holidays. he Union Cabinet amended the Indian flag code with effect from 26 January 2002, allowing the general public to hoist the flag on all days of the year, provided they safeguarded the dignity, honour and respect of the flag.

Respect for the flag
Indian law says that the flag must at all times be treated with "dignity, loyalty and respect" [Very Subjective].

The "Flag Code of India %u2013 2002", which superseded "The Emblems and Names Act, 1950", governs the display and usage of the flag. Official regulation states that the flag must never touch the ground or water, be used as a tablecloth or draped in front of a platform, cover a statue, plaque, cornerstone etc. Until 2005, the flag could not be used in clothing, uniform or costume. On 5 July 2005, the Government of India amended the code, allowing use of the flag as clothing and uniform. - When no longer in a fit condition to be used, a flag should be disposed of in a dignified manner, preferably by burning or ground burial.

Was there an outcry on Jan 27th, when the streets were littered with flags ?

Which protocol did Sania Break ? Please Explain.

The wisest thing to do - defect!
by Underground Underworld on Feb 04, 2008 09:01 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Sis,

Remember the ol' days when the russians and east european players defected to other countries, and were welcomed, with open arms!

Well, you can see that you are not received well in India, everytime you do something, becos of too much of fanatics and their fanaticism.

America, and European Country, or any country you choose - will be glad to give you citizenship. Just show your inclination and see the offers you get.

That's why very few Indian's prosper in India, and everyone seeks to go abroad, becos they are give due recognition and respect.

Here, if one does any great achievement - the minister, the head-of-department, and everyone - tom, his dick and harry, will want to stand by you and take credit.

Give up India and seek some other more welcoming country. And with the money you make, you can live and survive anywhere.

This is a sincere request. You cannot prosper here. There is no valour for standing for your country. Those days are gone. Be a global citizen, be free!

We are still in the days of slavery here. Nobody wants to see you doing well and flaggards have the gall to try to tarnish your reputation and dedication to the game.

Shame on them. Shame on that photographer.

And do dress as you please. It is your life. You can always choose whatever you want to do - it just happens that you are born to Muslim parents, but your choices are yours.

Make a wise decision - DEFECT TO ANOTHER PART OF THE GLOBE.

YOUR FAN.

The fact that I am not on your ground shows that I am not in your league. You are another typical Indistani who had a boxed inferior mental vision. Look beyond geographical barrier - and you will see that I am no-where near you.

Like I mentioned in the post, you are one of those - Tom, His Dick and Hairy Guys, who wants the adulation, but has done nothing note-worthy for your country, your family,or yourself!

A collection of multi-million imbiciles like you, brings about a shame to the name of your country.

I am safe in the free air and atmosphere from way beyond yonder, that I don't need to to come and smell your stink and see your face.

And if you don't know, you are a prime candidate for kickass, or dotbusting, if you step out of your small circle of frog-well banana-leaf indistani.

The flag was five feet away from her leg. The way the photograph was taken it appears as if Sonia's feet is near the flag. Infact the seat of the players and the flag is on the same line, which is why it appears as in the photo. Anyway no big deal. People like Raj Thackrey and Laloo Prasad are bigger criminals. Congress has an MP who is not even an Indian citizen (even the Supreme Court has said so). And we pick on the easiest target - Try getting Balasaheb with frivilous cases. But look at this forum...we are always ready to report someone'e message just because we do not agree with their views...or we start making personal remarks based on religion or ethnic background.

These "Agents of Intolerance" are just a reflection of our own prejudice.

We cannot change others. But we can surely reflect on our own behavior.

What a Shame
by Girish on Feb 04, 2008 08:48 PM  | Hide replies

It is highly appalling to see most of the Indians considering the disrespect towards National flag as a trivial issue, she might be the only women in India who plays tennis but since when did that give her the right to disrespect National Flag, or is there a new law implicitly accepted by Indians "If a person is popular he/she can get away with anything", bcuz the way issues are handled with sanjay dutt, salman and few more that seems to be the order of the day, and what is all that crap about comparing her previous controversies to the present National Flag (by the way she was very prompt in apologising to the damn Mullah's).

Many people have written comments like "Go and play in USA, India dosent deserve you", Yeah Right, in America the punishment for disrecting the National Flag is minimum of 15 years in prison if proved, No questions asked no one listens to any fan if held Gulity

And Guys like Karthik... what did you say "This Nation is not a Nation", then tell me what is it??, you guys should be sent to countries like China in order to appreciate the benefits you enjoy in India.
I always wondered How come only 100 thousand british ruled 300 Million Indians for 200 years, its bcuz 90% of the Indians do not know the meaning of Nationalism.
Tennis skills and National flag issue are two completely different things, Now for those who wants to use foul language towards me.... Cowards can say whatever they want from safety of home, pick one on one and you will bolt like rats.
