While Bindra is an example of a sportsman working outside the system to bring glory to himself and the nation , Sushil Kumar and Vijender Kumar are example of sportsmen working with the system. True our system does not offer the kind of facilities, training and encouragement that top sportsperson need to perform at the highest level. But these medalists did not have much of a choice given that they come from less privileged backgrounds. They have achieved something with pure grit and determination and working with whatever they were provided with. Their efforts need to be rewarded in full. At the same time a committment should be made to see to it that these sportsperson are given the best of everything so that we have more of Sushils and Vijenders and Bindras and Sainas and Akhils in our midst.

Yes Sushil what supreme court saying is correct. Try hard next time and get a gold for india while supreme court and all the others in this comments section sit lazyly before their idot boxes and pass useless comments.

Yes, these unheralded heroes are doing much better than the "exalted supremos" of Indian cricket. Maybe because they are not (yet) spoiled by the millions from the commercial endorsements. It is time that we turn away from cricket and encourage other sports.
