What Olympics is this. Is it too great in this world that we all have to question every thing Indian and Indian related characteristics. Last time there was huge lobby from USA to put baseball even though most of the nations were against it. Now there is BASE ball. Why not cricket if BASE BALL is there? Why not chess..oldest sport in earth. When one Swimming is having 16 categories and if u have one fit player when u can get 8 MEDALS. Same with Gymnastics. WHY SO MANY MEDALS IN ONLY ONE SPORT? Volley ball, basket ball, beach volleyball,sprint running etc are hugely advantaged to height and strong races. How can Indian with average height of 5.5 compete with players with height of 6.5.
So don't worry too much and think of your core competence and churn it istead of feeling you are losers.

Even if cricket is included we would be thrashed by Sri Lanka, Australia and South Africa. Even the US would have a cricket team of Asian immigrants. so whats the point? And if your comment on Indian's unable to compete because of sub standard hieght, look at the Chinese. And who;s stopping Indians from building up their strength and stamina by working out hard. This doesnt come from sitting in front a TV and watching a man chase a woman around a tree singing some ridiculous song does it? No pain no gain.

Stop Complaining man,look at medal tally,Chinies are shorter than Indians and even they dnt have solid strong body too. Stop thinking excuses and accept we are poor in sports. Even if Cricket will be there we wont get any medals..look yesterdays scorecard against Srilanka.
