well fedrer isnt doing too well in pro tennis this season too he hasn't won a single major, lost his no1..he is also suffering from mononucleosis so i think there is question of money involved ..after amassing so much wealth i don't think i would be the motivation for any top sportsperson let it be tendulkar schumaccer or any top sports personlaity .. wat drives them is the desire to excel and get fame and more accolades
The stars like federer , nadal will always rule the roost of tennis world for decades to come by.. They definitely set a bench mark of class which cannot be ruled out for times tocome by.

Were you sleeping the last 5 years through tennis season? FYI... Federer is the best tennins player ever... and I hate to say better that Pete Sampras as well.. So just cause he lost a few matches...that does not mean that you write him off... and as far as winning grad slams is concerned...wait and watch for Fedrer at the US Open...

aakanksha..i hope that you are true...but seeing his body language, federer is down at the moment and since there is not much time left for us open..i doubt fed will really prevail coz of the state of mind he is in....i think he needs a big break..may be till next year's 'aus open'. that will heal all the heartbreaks he has had in this years's big matches...but you know..great players have this great tenacity to rise when they are down, and fed is no exception.
well well......federer's horrendous year just keeps on getting poorer and porrer.....but now the unimaginable has happened...he has lost to blake who has only won a single set against federer in 8 career meetings....that's ridiculous... i think we are just seeing the end of the 'greatest era in tennis'.

Roger Federer is a true champion. He has lost his game due to the pressure built by Rafeal Nadal on two major grand slam occasions. His loss to Blake is mere an impact of his losses to Nadal. He will come out it. Or may be god knows. But Rafa rocks....
