Right now we are doing well in shooting. Who is heading that sport's department ? Why dont IOA conduct an event and show to the world our talents in shooting ? Atleast an Asian event in shooting ?
kalmadi must think to get more medals in india's kitty, before trying to host the event. whats the point if we host but end with 0 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze

If you politicians vaccate this coveted throne of roses and eliminate politics from all our sports & games then ASIAD,OLYMPICS and all important events will come to our country. First our sports & games must be saved from the tentacles of POLITICIANS.
Kalmadi , under whom India's sports performance has fallen to levels which are insulting to the nation, is booking his 'Kursi' as IOA President till 2020!!! Sooner these non performers who are shrewd politicians , milking the game and getting free "phoren" holidays in the name of sports gets the boot the better. People like Kalmadi, Priyaranjan Das ( AIFF president since more than last 15 yrs or God-knows-since -when), the Ruffian and Bully, KPS Gill, etc, etc, should first be kicked out of Indian Sports administration before we can hope to get any decent performance in Olympics...... Do yo know that in the Recent visit of work football assn president Priyaranjan das munshi spent Rs5 crores, gave Five Star hotel ( same suite where Tony Blair stayed) to the entire visit team, booked 5 mercedes and BMW 24 hrs for entire duration of visit, etc etc...On the other hand our average national level Footballers travel 2nd sleeper class, and get an allowance of Rs200 per day......... People like PriyaRanjan Das are milking the football fraternity dry....

Right Arindom. Not only people like Priyanjan das munshi even there are countless figures those are holding the portfolios of different sports fraternities which no one from their encestor had ever played. Take a look.
I actually dont remember much but there was an article in news paper giving info about all these portfolios. Kalmadi himself has never played any sports except musical chair. Who know he will be alive till 2020. We absolutely do not deserve to host such events. What these so called bosses should be doing is to make better players by providing them some good coaching facilities and good playing conditions.
big events such as these should not be held in india, as india will hardly ever bag a gold medal in the olympics, and this would mean waste of resources . china ,south korea japan ,bags some medals in the olympics therfore they can host the game. but our atheletes needs to bag medals before we can think of hosting such a big event.

Aishwaria will inagurate this event..... shah rukh will dance..... rani will sing song on that day...... All medels will take by other countries.... india will be busy in functioning this event.
