Often one wonders how is a coach responsible for poor showing. The way the indian hockey played in the last two matches with pakistan I was never sure they would win. Mr. Jyoti Kumar, It would be better if Indian team gets some one who can inculcate the fire & hunger to win rather than changing coaches and players once too often.
India sacks foreign coach Rach. Ok. At least it will save some money ... why was he brought in ? Indian hockey authorities should realise, digest and accept that India is no more a leading hockey nation. And this not only applied to playes' fitness and speed, but also applies to the game skills also. Other nations like Holland, Germany, Australia and even Pakistan are far far superior to India not only in physical fitness but overall hockey skills. We should fast realise this and stop hoping for miracle ... with or without foreign coach. The level of hockey in India even at grass root level is not on par with that in the nations mentioned above. Providing foreign coach to the national team is not going to solve the problem.
