Will Indian Hockey Federation stop playing havoc with Indian Hockey and come out with a transparent long term plan to revive it ? The entire administrative team should be the first one to be sacked, and the Federation be taken over by Sports Ministry. Only then can one think of INdia regaining its lost glory, or else Gill and Co. will continue to live in fool's paradise.
Who will sack KPS Gill and his cronies. Is t always the coach or the players responsible for the team performance, where is the accountability of the officialdom.
Atlast, a very good decision by Indian Hockey Team management. Hope our team will again regain the pride, it had in the past. All the best to our team.
The IHF has been run like the personal fiefdom of Gill. He's the guy to be sacked for taking umpteen wrong decisions in dropping players and appointing coaches of average calibre.
All those responsible for appointing this guy who has been an absolute failure and embarassment to India and the Indian players should be sacked first. They should resign on moral grounds. Even the layman could see that it was an irrational appointment in the first place if the IHF couldn't Gill & co. should resign first
The appointment of Rach itself was incorrect.But some one like Gill is there in Hockey Federation nothing good can be expected. Gill is simply putting the Indian Hockey in ruins. He disturbed the Gold medal winning team of 1998 Asiad, in the name of building an young team. He actually have personal problems with senior playes perticularly Dhanraj. He has nothing to do with Hockey, he is selfish and egoish, those who go against his hitler policy he kicks them off. If he had plans to build new team, why it is not build after 6 years(after 1998). He still arguing the same and is making illogical statements on every defeat.The standard is so down that our national coach says "it's enough if we don't finish last", and Gill Mahashay is still in the process to build a team of future. The Indian Hockey has future only if Gill is kicked off.
It is saddening to note that coaches are sacked before they even complete a micro cycle of their training strategies. ALl world class coaches follow a seasonal coaching patttern, keeping in view major championships. Players need time to understand a coach . As it takes time to build a friendship , the same way it takes time for a coach to come closer to the team. Rather than sacking a coach, specialists should be added so that they all work as a team. Blame should not fal on one person only.Most internatinal teams have a team of specialists attached . They all analyse and work on individual aspects of the game and then brainstorm to get the best results.Its easy for us to put the blame on gerhard rach, its a basic psychological error.
Indian hockey management is moving like headless chicken. We are paying great attention to cricket and completly sidlining our national sport. We should not take abrupt decisions like changing coaches, captian and players. There should be good and sound forum who works neutral and dont mix there personal reasons with there work. One will not be srprised if Indian hockey team will not even qualify for olampics.
