There is no point romanticizing about Gandhiji or for that matter Hindutva. Earlier we reject our past and embrace the scientific truth of the West we will make real progress. All our civilisation is mediocre and defunct in front of the modern Western civilisation. There is no point going after Gandhi or Godse. It was the British that civilised us and the world really.
Real change came to this world because of colonization. Before colonisation there was no science, no technology, no school, college, university, sports, democracy, real medicine to heal people and English language unification. US and UK has done more good and less harm comparatively. Because of them the world is united and civilised largely. Singapore, HongKong, South Korea, Japan are heavily influenced by US and UK. But nobody has taken over anything. Don't do fear mongering. Learn to investigate.

The author, Mr. Vaidya attributed 5 attempted assassasinations before the succesful one as a proof of his arguement and how Gandhi's agreement to partition and release of Rs. 55 crore to Pakistan did not exist when the 5 attempts were made and therefore there is no truth this arguements for Gandhi's assasssination. I wish he had given some details as to who, when and how these attempts were made. This is the first time I read about these assassisination attempts.

All previous attempts were uopposedly by Godse. One wonders why the british government did not put godse behind bars. May be it is the british trying to remove thorn with a pricly pin..
