The state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) has gone to enjoy better days as the power was transferred from Mayawati to Akhilesh Yadav. The transition augurs well for the state even though journalists produce frequent report cards criticizing his governance. The press and media must realize that his administration is far superior to that of Mayawati who was sanctifying a unique brand of corruption. In any case, UP is presently in a significantly better state of affairs than it was under Congress party when Indra Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were in power. The next stage would be the transfer of power from Akhilesh Yadav to a successful BJP candidate. The glory of Varanasi, Allahabad and historical UP cities will be revived once education levels and economic positions are substantially improved. The state has several institutions like IIT and IIM serving it, and pretty soon drastic improvements will be witnessed. The state will never wreak in the poverty of the Indra Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi era.
It was many sections of media who was carreid away by SP's victory and praised Akhilesh sky high with out bothering to understand his personality. Now the same media do not bother to deride him. This shows ignorance on these sections of media and this is one classic example.
