Gujarat’s per capita debt, already among the highest in the country, is set to rise further by a whopping 46% in the next three years, according to the Medium Term Fiscal Policy Statement of the state government.
With a public debt of Rs1,24,580 crore, Gujarat’s per capita debt would stand at Rs20,660 as of March 31, 2012. The per capita debt is expected to rise to Rs23,255 as the state’s debt increases to Rs1,40,238 crore by March 31, 2013, according to state government’s projections.
The state’s total public debt is projected to rise further by Rs20,000 crore to reach Rs1,59,552 crore by the end of 2013-14, which would translate into a per capita debt of Rs26,400 on each Gujarati.
Continuing the trend, public debt of the state would increase to a staggering Rs1,81,956 crore and per capita debt would reach Rs30,175 at the end of 2014-15. “It is a complete misnomer that the state’s debt is very high. It is well within limits permissible under FRBM roadmap,” minister of state for finance, Saurabh Patel, said.

But firstly why dont you try to find where was the money spent upon, was it used for right cause. If my understanding goes right then the amount shown would have been same as above without any development or incomplete projects. As the debt burden of WB loans would have been high without completion of projects which were funded by WB specifically Sardar Sarovar Project.

in Gujarat is itself proof of this. In Gujarat Congrs tried all tricks to defeat Modi. But Gujaratis knew otherwise! Now the nation is ready to welcome Modi as PM. Raul can wait and learn from Modi.

Modi got 76% votes as a probable PM. The combined votes of other 11 candidates was merely 24%. Nitish, Maya, Mulayam & Rahul know they are not equal to Modi. That is why they are teaming up to counter him. 100 Kauravas were not equal to one Arjuna.
From Rahul to notish to maya to mulayam, everyone is in awe of modi.They evy modis popularity and are afraid of their political career once he assumes the office of PM of india.

the rural ppl of India outside Gujarat hardly know who Modi is. U and ur friends r a handful of ppl who vouch for Modi. Also world leaders have denounced him, and in the unlikeliest case of him becoming PM, he won't be able to travel to a majority of countries.
Anyways he has to pass the first hurdle, which is a mandate from the ppl of India. And I doubt he will ever get a mandate anyday to rule India.
