MOST HONEST OFFICER
by paramjeet on Mar 29, 2012 10:45 AM

Gen Singh is the most honest officer. If, he was not so he would have been sacked. Govt is laced with corruption all round. Daily scams are errupting and sacking Gen with dirty hands will tantamount to nipping curruption in ARMY.

Sheela bhatt...mouth piece of congress!
by Setu Madhavan on Mar 29, 2012 10:42 AM  | Hide replies

When Sheela bhatt writes that Gen VK Singh should be sacked, it means Congress has decided to sack him and has sent out its puppy Sheela Bhatt to write sponsored articles. The puppy is obdiently following it master.

What the pup Sheela Bhatt forgot to mention is who leaked the General's letter!

It is the PMO babus who have leaked it to the press with the exact intent of building up a case for Gen VK Singh's removal. And for that they have to just throw a biscuit at faithful pup Sheela Bhatt.

The bigger question, puppy Sheela, is why did this government NOT act on the constant requests and reminders form this Army chief and several of his predecessors to act and replenish the dangerously low levels of Army ammunition. That is the real danger facing the nation. Something you should be writing about... the sheer incompetence of this government in general and MR Clean Defence Minister in particular.

The Army chief has been telling Mr Clean for over 2 years that the Army is suffering from lack of ammunition, but Mr Clean, the famous 'Mr indecisive' just sat on files and 'top secret' letters. MOD babus promptly leaked those top secret letters, leading an angry Gen VK Singh to meet MR Clean and ask him to rein in his MOD babus not to lead top secret information, which mr clean did. However Mr clean did not put in orders for ammunition for tanks, guns and howitzers.

now gen VK singh writes to PM and PMO 'leaks' it promptly. Sheela Bhatt now says 'Sack Gen Singh'. Wow!

USE, MISUSE AND ABUSE
by atul on Mar 29, 2012 10:41 AM  | Hide replies

This is what happens when u r in power.
All netas across party lines are responsible for it. These netas who r not even fit to run a small institute r running a huge govt what can be expected? Rogu;es and Th'ieves join a party and exploit power for their own self interest.
The bureaucrats are not far behind. Its a open truth but does not come in public but all defense deals would have had a commission for the bureaucrats, the army personals and obviously our dear netas.
SHAME ON THEM.
Bhagat Singh & other freedom fighters would have committed suicide if they would have been alive to see that this is what they fought for.
SHAME Mr PM, SHAME Mr DM, SHAME General.

To make a General of Indian Army, it takes at least 55 years out of 125 crore popupation. The General who is dedicated to his country is being humilated by those who are not even worth to stand near by.
The problem here is honesty of the General by not accepting the 14 Crore bribe and not cleaning the purchase file which might have given crores as cuts upwards in the system. The General may be fully aware of the malpractices and perhaps choose to be out of the line.
Its Shameful to ask or say that he should be sacked....
Media should have fillered this news in the interest of NATIONAL PRIDE which is at STAKE.

Question of sacking COAS
by Mukund Barve on Mar 29, 2012 10:41 AM

For a leakage of confidential communication, parties at both the ends and a link coneecting to are,all equally to blamed. Therefore every head must roll simultaneously.P.M.;F.M. TOGETHER WITH COAS,if the clean-up operation is to be intiated and the chaos created is to be diffused in the national interest. In this UPA Rule(Unrule!!!!),killer of Ex-Chief Minister, even after 2 decades, even after following due process of law is also sought to set loose, only to get political(????) footage. To a common man like me,who will trust the existence of Rule of law/governance? I feel from recent events to a belief that certain unscrupolous cartel for individual gains, have made/rendered Rubber stamp President,Ruber stamp prime minister and radarless macinary

Where money is going
by vasudeo bandodker on Mar 29, 2012 10:38 AM

India i slargest importer of arms in the world. What army chief is saying is true than question is where all money is going. Is it going in somebodys pocket or political party fund. Way we find crores of rupees with govt officers, it is quite obvious that money is not spend where it is required.
We need to strengthen defence our defence forces. Yesterday polictical parties in parliament were discussing on protocol and not on the content of the letter. It is shameful that we have country being run by such nerrowminded brainless political class.

WHY TO BLAME GEN. SINGH ONLY
by kewal krishan dua on Mar 29, 2012 10:32 AM  | Hide replies

The letter was written to PM long back. The point is not that why he wrote a letter to PM . He can write any thing to PM. The real point is that who leaked the letter. So may letters were leaked from the PM office itrself. Why not to blame, PM office. It is long practice in Defence to oblige Govt officials. In BOFORS we have spent enough money to pinpoint the corrupts, inspite of crores of expenditure we could not blame anybody ispite clear proofs in the press a number of times. If Gen would have taken an action action the person from where could he gethered the witnesses because "HAR SHAKH PE ULLOO BETHA HAI". A single person cannot do anything in the society in this corrupt system.

1. Gen. Singh wrote letter to PM with Antony's consent. 2. Admiral Bhagat wrote one day before retirement to the then PM. 3. We do not know who leaked the letter. 4. Yesterday one TV channel showed a letter how openly one Italian firm offers kickback. 5. If Antony acts against corruption, he should have given in writing to General to register a complaint. 6. No General will go and meet the Defense Minister unless he has some proof. 7. Quttrochis and others escape during Congress rule in defense corruption.
