Unless Team Anna is willing to come up with an amended bill that does not undermine the democratic institutions, government should not entertain talks with them. Government should just let the law do its course. If there is going to be a civil disobedience as they hype up to be, then congress should resign and seek fresh mandate from the people. Give no room for blackmail in any case.

appointing a corrupt CVC .. Mismanaging the CWG . Getting rebuked by the Supreme Court every week After Anna's fast, presenting a TOOTHLESS LOKPAL BILL IN PARLIAMENT. Using Police and CBI to "Go after" people campaigning against corruption . Having Cabinet full of corrupt ministers or pet dogs (HALF OF THEM IN JAIL) ..

If government appointed corrupt CVC, if government mismanaged CWG and so on, why would not Team Anna appointees or Team Anna method of appointees do the same, if not today, few years down the lane? This is the draw back of Jan lokpal.

if LOKPAL can be corrupt so can the PM be CORRUPT and his Puppet master Sonia can also be corrupt ??? read the janlokpal bill properly to find the remedy for a corrupt lokpal .

Rahul gandhi's proposal of HAVING an election commission like constitutional body - on SURFACE - seems a GRAND IDEA.He missed out on on ANY TIME FRAME -as to whether it will be in this year/decade/century - OR WHEN ??? His proposal is SOMETHING LIKE:- "wanting to land ON MARS - while having never even ATTEMPTING TO land on MOON" !! OR Climbing Mount Everest - without making a BASE CAMP Acclimatizing climbing small mountains first !!!
HENCE- it can ONLY BE TREATED as a DELAYING TACTIC -for shielding the CORRUPT - and giving plenty of TIME to SWISS BANK ACCOUNT HOLDERS to 'put their house in order" !!!
MAKING a constitutional body requires amending the constitution- which requires 2/3rd majority !!?? - BESIDES Congress has been wanting to put a SIMPLER bill for 42 years - so Rahul's proposal may take 420 years ????!!!!!

I agree with you. The desire to implement honestly any law is a must and not necessary all types of New laws
Anna and team need force to overcome this govt. Police will not support Anna as Police is currupt and coward. They will not like lokpal that can stop their bribe income. So Anna team should connect with Army and use his past connections to seek help from Army to takeover the reins of this country. Now or never. Do not lose this freedom strgle or else we will be always slv. Govt delaying proceedings hoping that Anna gives up his life. Then the things will go back to usual.

You join them with all your might and try to overthrow the government. Let respected Annaji come as PM in this Bhrust Country to make sure that we are free from all corruption . This will help people of all walks of life in India to live honestly
