TheAmulBaby's greatGrandFather(JLNehru), GrandMother (Mrs.IndiraGandhi), Father(RajivGandhi) and Mother(Mrs.SoniaGandhi) have collectively screwed our country for more than 50 years since 1947 (I do not call it Indpenedence as it as only transfer of power from the Goras to theBrownSahibs). Still more than 30 crores of Indians subsist on Rs. 20 a day and there are more than 6 crore childLabours in our Country. Why do you think that the AmulBaby will be any different from his precessors??

WHY GIVE THEM CHANCE MR. ANNA HAZARE ?
by damodaran mohan on Apr 14, 2011 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

True , vested interests are indeed trying to 'dilute' the efforts to fight corruption but why give them that chance in the first place,Mr.Anna Hazare ? Given your changed stature you should be careful while speaking to media or in public. Your own ardent supporters are not happy with some of your public statements. People can only hope you learn from your mistakes. Now, coming to the politicians, it has become a cliché to say that 'all politicians are not corrupt....you can't tar all politicians with the same brush.." and so on .But fact of the matter is most of them if not all of all of them are corrupt and that culture is percolating down to the lowest govt. babu or peon level which is forcing the general public also to adopt the method to save botheration. Recent example:Delhi jal Board has started water metering system about some time back. The consumers know how it is just not possible to get a water meter fitted and regularized by DJB without paying any bribe. There are so many such instances….

Agree, with loose statements like that, he is only getting closer to be labelled as a stooge of the BJP.
He should be careful. Otherwise this will be a battle between the congress and the BJP and as always BJP will Loose. Anna stop issuing stupid statements keep fasting with mouth mum n the crowds would swell.

Jai Modiji!
by george pinto on Apr 14, 2011 02:04 PM  | Hide replies

The writing on the wall is clear. Modiji is going to the PM of India in 2014. With a formidable fiscal integrity and absolute no - nonsense attitude towards governance, with a seeming anti muslim baggage (as claimed by corrupt pro congi NGOs) Modi alone can bring about the radical changes this country needs. After George Fernandes, the only patriotic leader this country has seen is Modi. He damn doesn't care what America says. This will help counter Left anti Americanism agenda in their strong bastions, should he win over them as well. If he becomes PM, he will let loose, the true crusaders of corruption, Hazare and Bedi. All I appeal to Hazareji is that he should not be apologetic for having praised Modiji for his Governance. No political parties in India (BJP included) has any right to either claim credit for his actions or critisize for so called pogrom.

Fat chance.
Modi's basic technique is pitting 'us Gujaratis' against all the 'others'. He came to campaign in Kerala and sung praises of Gujarat! You think non Gujjus are going to vote for him?

He doesn't deserve to be PM anyway, for covering up all the things that happened during the riot.

That is what our political prties are and that is why all of them are afraid of Anna Hazare. Each one of them will try to derail his movement. Public should be alert as Anna is the sole voice today without any selfish interest. He reminds me of Gandhiji who had in the end become a baggage for Congress too.
