There is an uproar in Gujarat. People are feeling the shame that their state grown brand has been associated with an insane crook. They are even willing to change the name of the famous co-operative to something else.. :)

If Gujarat ever has a congress Govt., Amul would be changed to Jawaharlal Nehru Doodh Utpadan Sangh with members of congress on the board of Amul. In less than a decade Amul would be reduced to rubble. We are in dangerous hands of congis.

Before last 15 yrs of BJP Rule Gujarat was ruled by congress for very long, Infact Madhavsinh solanki was 3 terms CM and Chimanbhai Patel was for 2-3 terms, I believe.

All cooperative bodies in Gujarat and Maharashtra were in tight grip of congress culture, which includes corruption, nepotism and dynastic bootlicking. However in Gujarat after the BJP rule of about 15 yrs, situation has changed.

Dr. Kurien did not set Amul. It was a cooperative movement back in 1946 inspired by Sardar Patel and that time the dairy which was receiving milk was Polson (a british company) after independence it became Amul. And Kurien came to Amul during white revolution
Even if disagrees with Rahul gandhi AchuthanandaN should not have used this intemperate language against his political rivals. Already a case is pending against him in the Court for using derogatory language against his rival Lathika. It's a do or die battle for Achuthanandan, if the party loses he alone would be responsible. As a leader Achuthanandan has not shown his positive side, but his negative aspect was shown to the voters of Kerala
To call an Amul boy an Amul boy is nothing wrong, but this old man is under extreme fear of even losing his seat, he is another brinless wonder of Kerala politics. He can make derogatory remarks against even himself, a born buffoon. The negativity is in his blood, rememeber his remarks against His excellancy Dr.APJ Abdulkalam. No doubt this former beedi roller will no more be there in politics after the elections.

you have a substantial problem with a closed and narrow dim lit mind. It is high time u opened it to get some light inside :-)
Mr Pranab Mukherjee did not lose much time to tick off Kerala CM Mr Achuthanandan when he referred to the crown prince being gromed by his Congress party as 'AMUL BABY'.
Well, he must also have heard of Rahul ridiculing the Kerala CM as an old hand (87 years) trying to return to power. Does Mr Mukherjee think that Rahul's ridiculing a seasoned leader , generally respected by the people, just for his old age is a laudable act ?
Rahul is already well-known for his lack of proper knowledge of various current developments, as reported in the press from time to time, noted during his slip-ups at various public fora. Mr Mukherjee may not have the courage to point out the same to her party boss as the same may cause his demotion from the present coveted position he now enjoys at the party HQ.
