THis is to Piri Your comments are sick. If you fell behind for whatever reason, you can not go ahead by criticizing the one who is ahead. You have to try yourself hard. Spelling bee makes every Bhartiya Proud. There is no caste for winners. So concentrate on education of your children and they may win some big prices.

Though one can question the purpose of such a contest (I think one that tests language skils or problem solving skills is more interesting to me), I think this is still a great achievement which is much better thing for a kid to focus on than playing video games all the time or getting into trouble with drugs etc....In that sense this is great and kudos to the parents of the kids...(nothing to do with India though). Proud that a fellow human has achieved something that I could never dream of even now...let alone at 13-14 (now let me go run a spell check on my post...lol).

Maybe competition for all money, talent, etc in the United States should only be open to Citizens of United States and not to some NRI or who claim citizenship to other countries.

Its is funny how when an OCI does something every damm Indian in India claims connections to this person and feel proud of it. Yet when the issue of Citizenship comes all these damm indians living in India kicks the OCI in the balls.

im just watching a spelling bee challenge on tv atmoment..where random lyrics are played like karaoke on screen ,with some words missing. the player has to sing the song and fill in the blank words too.
