RE:Periyar was against Brahminism, not Brahmins

And in the procees made lot of maoney. therein lies the greatness of periar which fools dont understand.
that EVR was able to spread his message against Brahminism in a softer manner that didn't incite his followers to beat Brahmins up or cut their "poonool"(thread).
I'm sure that he was a necessary feature of the TN social movements since there was domination by one caste in government, which is never good.

And you think by abusing others as your ideal periyaar did, you understand the entire universe.Periyaar understood only one thing equality but his context was so narrow, that he miserably failed to implement even equality.Any social order is governed by proper division of labour & proportinate distribution of Wealth & access to asset.Excesses were certainly done by controllers, but what Naicker did was again nothing but exaggeration of excesses & started another movement which did nothing but excesses. Now TN stands at a point where it is culturally broke & economically weak, except for CHENNAI.Naicker has'nt brought about any revolution of sorts, but I do appreciate his steps towards bringing a social order. Neverthless that does not give you a very average being to abuse others.By doing so you are showing your own temprament & attitude towards Life.

And those who don't know how to write English (Angrezzi) must be also sent behind bars. (media should stop to give coverage means, media must give more coverage "to" is not required. who are poisioning (he doesnt live anymore, so the tense is wrong, Poisioning? the spelling is wrong) Costism?? Should sent behind bar.. Everything in this is wrong... and you are coming and writing about someone else. Idiot. Go to school.
EVR was an atheist, noted for his antitheistic statement, "He who created god was a fool, he who spreads his name is a scoundrel, and he who worships him is a barbarian," attacking Hinduism in particular. In 1956, he took a procession of Rama's picture garlanded with slippers near Dharmapuri and destroyed the portrait in public, drawing widespread protests from offended Hindus. He protested only against Hindus not against any other religion. He knew only Hindus are calm people and event dont do harm to others whe he speak bad about their god too. If he would have spoken few words against other religions they must have taught him a lesson. Periyar married Maniammai a woman who was 40 years younger than him. But he propagated on freedom of women which he himself didnt follow. I request all the true Hindus to boycott this film.

EVR garlanding Ram statue with slippers is absolutely correct. Ram suspected Sita demanded proof of purity when he was kidnapped by Ravana. He is male Chauvinistic!! Women praying Rama is also peculiar!!

E.Ve.Ramasmy naicker is not even an Tamilian. He proudly announce himself as A Kannadiga.. he started his career with all ritual things and later started rovolt on that..he married in his age of 70 along with 25year girl. he never beleive in any Virginity of girl. he lived for 94years and he opposed Congress and sometime DMK also. he argued and fought against rationalist.but there is no true follower of EVR today because EVR is never believe on Statue or Samadhi..but followers are keeping lot of Statue and prayers in samadhi.. PERIYARISM Failed in Tamil nadu..still it is continued with small groups and it will come down slowly..No brahmis following as periyar said in 1930's..Intercaste marriage are encouraged by brahmins only..so EVR thinkings and thoughts are followed by Tamil brahmins not by others..

Yes Jai, you are spot on, but the truth is brahmins are following the rantings of this EVR not out of love or conviction but because what we know as the "Stockholm Syndrome". A community under seige for 5 decades has slowly started admiring their tormentors and also accepted them as right. I know a few of my brahmin friends who are totally anti-hindu than any of the other castes. But the question is does anyone have the right or is it morally and ethically proper to take away the culture of a community by methods such as these.
If periyar opposed god.then Jesus and Allah are gods of chiristianaity and islam respectively, why didn't he oppose them.what he has got to say about jihad, kafir, talaq and burqa systems in islam. He even made the worst possible comments on Ramayana. He criticiced Hinduism for cheap popularity. He tried to divide hindus by separating backward castes by instigating them against brahmins.Like Psuedo-secularists he was pseudo reformist.People like him who spread hate against each other should be hanged.
