India has already become Balkans. Why do we have Naxalite movements? Why do we have terrorism...One does not have to be a rocket scientist to know that most social evils have been introduced by the brahmins.

By targeting Brahmin's you yourself have done the same thing, targeting any community in itself is a great disservice to the country.I don't want my country to have several partitions on communal, casteist and linguistic-regional lines, but with all this going on, I can only look in dismay as to what my country is slowly turning into. A great disservice to the country is being done by this balkanization process and seems loyalties from India have now narrowed down, there seems to be no patriotism left!!!!

Colonial trade is out there in open

The colonists who used race analysis to attack continents are there out in open. Bangalore gets millions of dollars from NGOs, there is one bangalorean who writes abusive stuff. The hate mongerers from europe manage to slaughter in far away lands of the world, Naiker was one of them, though being dosowned now.

The missionaries are only thriving because of the inherent flaws in hinduism. No one like to be branded as lower caste. Whats wrong in breaking the stigma and choosing a new religion ?

And a host of false propaganda by missionaries. Legacy of the British. Oh btw Mr eclipse, if you didn't know, in TN at least people carry their caste in to their new faith. There exist separate grave yards for converts from higher castes and converts from lower castes. There is even a novel by a Dalit convert entitled Karukku which speaks about this.

Periyar didn't hate brahmins, he hated only brahminism. Really? "If u see a snake and a brahmin, kill the brahmin first" Thus spake periyar. His was a rationalism that bordered on the pervert. He denounced Tamil language and culture more than anyone else. An issue conveniently hidden from the public. Well what else to expect from someone who hero worships a mass murderer like Stalin? Yes, he should have become a Soviet citizen and deported to a Gulag. Where he could have enjoyed all the benefits of a free society.

Mr. Vaempuli, I have a query about Periyar.. Since I am young, I am not aware of the history fully. Did Periyar say anything offensive about the christianity and Islam ? If so what was the stand taken by the secularists like Mu.Karunanidhi at that time....

Not to the best of my knowledge. His attacks were primarily directed at hinduism. I still desire to see Veeramani, Periyars disciple put up periyars statue in front of a mosque.Forget secularism for a while. Mu Ka and others are silent about periyars attacks on Tamil language and culture. He called Tamil a language of barbarians. Heavily criticised ThirukkuraL and refered to Kannagi in very unflattering language

From what i have read abt periyar is he was an ambitious man. But alas he couldnot study beyond 4th std.as the rigours and discipline enforced in schools those days were against the very grain of the then EVR who was flambouyant and flashy with wealth to flounder.J.Nehru too was flashy and flambouyant but he completed his law studies abroad and a typical Englishman way was in manners and etiquettes so much so his wife(Kamla) and inlaws(learned Kashimiri pundits) too felt outofplace in Motilal and son's Allahabad bungalow!EVR was quick to grasp caste divide prevalent in his time in society and realise his ambition of leadership by pitting 97% against 3% precisely followed by political masters now in UP and adj belt!Needless to say he proved the old English adage 'Politics is the last resort of*********

Nice analysis,
personally dont know abt periyar but his ofshoots like Dmk gang are really anti secular/ merit
if 60 % is reserved in TN to please his vote banks then how can society progress
Affirmative action is good as in US where deserving intelligent blacks really progressed but the bane of reservation here is undeserving rich candidates who cant even get 1st class get seats with 50% scores- when 90 % scoring people are left hi and dry. Worse Poor intelligent people who have capability dont persue the cources as they are expensive and they have to earn for their family If dalits have to come up basic things have to be focussed on like family planning and good basic education abd health
something that the govt doesnt get votes from...

Gnana Rajasekharan Is a Very Safe (IAS) man
He works as the director of Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development
Under Many shankar Iyer
First is he an ofshoot of the Periyar legacy?
did he become IAS due to reservation policy in TN? Was he appointed due to pressure from Dmk or congress?
One has to look into these things to chk his credibility .. Secondly is he making the film to please his masters so as to garnet votes?
How objective are his analysis ?
That is not my job but that of a journo

bring back brahmins as rulers
by Phantom The Ghost who walks on Apr 30, 2007 02:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

From the article, it looks like brahmins occupied most of the Govt. posts in early 1900s - It is well known now, how much corruption has crept into the Govt. offices. Maybe bringing back the brahmins to these offices would be a great idea. This could probably ensure that Govt. offices function smooth and corruption free - even benefiting the so-called "lower castes" much better than at present - Especially since social stigma(ta) such as untouchability and other ills have been more or less eliminated ...
