He is so modest, which is the hallmark of the really great, in any field. An actor par excellence, he stands tall in the hall of fame, but is full of humility. Compare that with the arrogant brats of Bollywood. That's where the difference lies. Talent vs mediocrity.
It seems Kamalahasan has no sense of making proper deals. He should stick to acting and Shruti is by no means an actress, who could stand next to him. Let's keep things straight.

Shruti was excellent in the movie Moonu, definitely better than many other actors.
even though he doesn't agree with this, it is evident that there were no takers for the amount he asked for.. that is the reason DTH plan.. but he is clearly in doubt about this decision now... initially he was citing the piracy reason... but later he admitted that it cannot be controlled even it is released thru' DTH.... I am a big fan of Kamal... i thought that he would have released in theaters by himself instead of being adamant... anyways.. i am going to watch it in DTH and as well as in theatre.. I wish him all the best..

i guess he is too defensive, he is saying he is agressive but back of mind he is preparing for reasons for failure.... last few films were literally boring... he goes too much into technicality that he looses his grip on story... neways i am his fan, so wish him all the best... would be very happy if his films does well....
Theatre owners are scared about the collection. Prob it is better to do a DTH release 3-4 days after release. DTH release may not prevent piracy. Even if recording will be prohibited from STB, ppl will still do it using other devices and upload the movie next day, even before the theatre release. So the DTH experiment is a trial and error. Let us hope that movie is more interesting that the pre-movie DTH/theatre fight !!!
Kamal Hasan is one of the greatest actors the World has seen in cinema. It is fortunate to see an actor of such caliber in our times. Not only he is creative and innovative, but not risk averse and his risks/experimentation have paid off many times in the past.
We in India are fortunate to have some of the World class top quality actors be it - Kamal Hasan, Nana Patekar, Mohan Lal, NTR, Akkineni, Amitab Bachan, Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Thilakan, Mamooty, Sanjeev Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Chiranjeevi and many others of Indian languages.
There is lot of talent but many are risk averse and do not experiment or take risks, understandably as our markets are not mature as our society in many aspects. Kamal is obe of the luckiest or in-genuine for whom the risks have paid off many times, and in that process brought out his best.
With multi-plexes there is lot of scope to experiment and get creativity out. The current actors have an opportunity to rise and take the challenges. It would be a fortune for Indian cinema and the audience to see the talent exploited in the proper way. And above all we audience have to patron good cinema and talent.

If you say in India are fortunate to have some of the World class top quality actors "Amitab Bachan, Naseeruddin Shah, Mamooty, Dilip Kumar, OM Puri, Mohan Lal" then I can agree to it but if you add Kamal Hasan, Nana Patekar, NTR, Akkineni, Anupam Kher, Thilakan, Sanjeev Kumar, , Chiranjeevi then I must tell you please contact a good doctor & stop writing comment here.

Also Kamal, entertains people and trying to use new technology, some movies are not good but he learns from his experience. Its better than bollywood dance and music.

You missed out the great Sivaji in the list whom Kamal himself considers his guru.
First and foremost I am a big fan of KAMAL and SALMAN KHAN in North. VISHWAROOP will be technically brilliant in every aspect. Bollywood audiences will have different genre of movie experience once they watched Vishwaroop. Give him a big hand

I agree... Its always like that on south superstars.... The media up north thinks the south indian film industry is a joke... while Bollywood is the real indian cinema!!
I remember in 1 of the recent interviews the anchor asked Kamal "Dont you feel odd to act with actresses much younger than you!!"
His answer was like this - "You see decades ago, I have acted with heroines who much more elder than me (referring to Chemmen Sheela) and back then I had no problems with it...
