Hopefully, her comeback will inspire many more filmmakers to clean up their act, pull up their socks and make good films again. The last time such a craze happened was for Hema Malini's return with Baghban but this one FAR FAR EXCEEDS that. Even after 15 years Sridevi commands enough clout to carry a movie on her shoulders single handedly. Every scene with her in it is a lesson in acting techniques, observation, living the character and going above and beyond the demand of the movie and the director. Let her teach the rest of the Bollywood now how it's done! ALL HAIL THE RETURN OF THE QUEEN!

very truly said. She was the only heroine daring to say NO to work with Amitabh because then the focus would shift to him & she would have nothing much to do. ROLES WERE WRITTEN ONLY FOR HER. Hopefully this trend will come back. One Mr.Ketan Parab has posted that she does not look mature with her childish voice, whereas the fact is this is deliberate on her part to display the insecurity of her character. She was so much into the role that recently in KBC also she didn't open up. To see her roles exactly opposite please see her Laadla & Judaai where she played the grey shades. For her bubbly character one should see Ghar Sansar & Aulaad and of course apart from Himmatwala, Jaani Dost, Mawaali, Sarfarosh, Tohfa.. The list goes on.
Sridevi is back with very decent movie, very good screen play and direction, good choice of script to put make up again for Sridevi. Priya Anand did excellant job.
Sridevi has done such role minus make up. If plot changes, character might change, but not the hysteria. She is slow every time and dialogues are like a hilly station girl, a Manipuri or Nepali speaks. I can not follow what the plot as it is not clever.
character and Sridevi has dominated the film, cool,quite and nice movie.Normally middle class homely ladies face these situations in day to day life, no doubt Sridevi impressed by her character and her submissive personality in film. we enjoyed the film and its atmosphere.

Its a lovely movie...well directed and very well acted by Sridevi and the supporting cast....its a movie which so many housewives in india will identify with...well done Gauri for a superb effort.
srivedi "s performance is outstanding.no sighn of return . correctly chosen for the roll. if Barfi can go for oscar, english viglish can win film fare award!!!
The film will not run in this week. Heroines when leaves media( film) the comeback trend is imaginary. The film has noting new for the actor except she worked in this film minus any stain and make-up.

you are here only to criticise when everybody who has seen it ncluding audience abroad ..and even non Sridevi fans have said its a must watch...you still crib about the movie its not going to make any difference...when something is good its good ...sorry get a life christie
